Too bad the game is on Sunday night....
As long as its not Friday or Thurs our side does well the last 3-4 years. That kills the dfw and htown alumni turnout.
However, the Monday after is a holiday.

The allotment isn't the answer....Fans get tickets on all the sites...The bowl game was an example of that as we had many more fans there than the allotment indicated. Monday is Labor Day..the Sunday factor isn't germane and its only 90 minutes south of Dallas. We will turn out well.

We only take a 1,000 or do to Fort Worth on a non-holiday weekend.....hard to see is taking several thousand even farther away on the same weekend that a lot of people go out of town. Hopefully we will.

I was very pleasantly surprised with the number we took to dump of a stadium two states away in the middle of January for a relatively minor bowl game against a mediocre Pitt team, especially considering the "allotted" tickets we sold and the public pleas by Steve Orsini. I thought we had a solid turnout there. Hopefully that carries over.

Apparently you missed the A&M game last year...there were a lot of SMU fans there, far more than the allotment. I'd be more worried about attendance at the SFA game, honestly.

You guys brought over 3k to Fort Worth last year. I saw the broadcast and I know how many the sections SMU fans filled and how much those sections hold.

Didn't stop us on the Saturday of 2010's labor day weekend from bringing over 41k of the 42,821 for a game vs Sam Houston State. A big change from our 2003 crap team faceoff where our 3-9 team took on your 0-11 team and SMU traveled with roughly 3,000. We brought 27,000 back then.

Have we even sold our alotment yet? I've been reading that Big 12 teams usually send unsold tickets back earlier than usual. TCU and I thought I read Baylor for example have already sent back unsold tickets to some Big 12 North schools

Really hoping the fact that I got them in row 1 this late isn't a bad sign....
SMU brought 3,000 last time. I wouldn't worry about it.
Lol. Shocker that a Baylor fan would sling attendance smack. If smu only brings 3k you will be lucky to have 40k there unless you have the standard OOC game giveaways. We brought a ton last year and you still couldn't take that silly tarp off. LMAO!

Fair enough. My mistake and I will own it.

Funny that we have a frog and a baptist trading smack on the PFs. Funny in a tragic sort of way.

How high up in Section U does the SMU section extend? Who has the highest row so far?
For those of you on row 1, I'll send you my cell number and tell you what is going on in the game at the other end of the field.
