TAYLOR REICH: On the mend

Postby PonyPride » Wed May 09, 2012 10:43 pm

SMU's spring workouts ended a little earlier for freshman tackle Taylor Reich than he would have wanted, thanks to an injury he suffered when a teammate fell across the back of his leg. Reich visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the injury, how it happened and when he expects to return to the field.

Enjoy!

That's great news, Jeff. Hope Taylor continues to progress and comes back healthy and ready to go. Looking forward to seeing him tear it up in the fall! Safe travels back to Big D.

Just a quick update for those interested. Taylor had his first physical therapy today. Went very well and he took his first steps on his injured leg\ankle. There was no pain and we were told his progress is excellent! He has been working out at a 24 Hour Fitness location for the last few weeks lifting as well. He is excited to get back and continue his rehab with the SMU staff. We begin the 21 hour drive back to Dallas later this month! Thanks again to all the well wishers!!

Good news indeed. Thanks for the update.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Add me to the list of well-wishers. Have a safe trip across the country, and get that young man healthy and back on his feet again!
