We will always be a small school with fewer students and alumni compared to the larger public schools. The question is whether SMU can return to it's pre-death penalty stature of competing with any program in the country. That's the only way we will ever attract t-shirt fans and generate anywhere near the kind of numbers you see from the "state" schools like UNC, NCSU, Virginia Tech, Virginia, etc... but it's unlikely we would ever draw the numbers that Florida State, Notre Dame and Clemson do

The guy who runs that channel is obscenely pro Big 10. Ohio State homer that is
not fond of SMU. If he had any sense he would understand that having many of
our games on a fraudulent creepy little channel like ESPNU murdered any hope
of national exposure. Glad we are out of the AAC.
