Commit #2EJ just tweeted that we picked up a commit from a 6-1 CB from Gilmer, Trey Washington.

Re: Commit #2referenced by Smoaky.com in a list of Top East/Central Texas recruits-David Smoak does a good job covering that area

Re: Commit #2tried the smoakycom site but got a message 'access denied'. Anybody else have the same problem?
Re: Commit #2made the initial Lone Star Recruiting (LSR-Texas Rivals) 2013 Texas Top 100 at No. 79 -that list came out 10 months ago (pre-Junior Year) and has since been updated. Checking to see if he is still on it. Nope no longer on it.

Re: Commit #2last year killed me on the early commits...I will no longer believe that anyone is solid until they make their mark on signing day. Robert Lewis ruined it for me.
That said, a 6'1" DB with speed is always a good start. "The fact that Andy Dalton made the Pro Bowl is probably why the league is threatening to cancel the game." --GrapevineMustang
Re: Commit #2Of course this is still early, but it is always nice to see SMU recruiting Texas. Will be interesting to see how this recruiting season turns out post Klemm, Reinebold, and the ASU mess. Obviously wins always help.
Re: Commit #2Gilmer is a solid program year in and year out-they turn out good prospects every year.
Re: Commit #2
Hey, give me a 6'1 DB with speed over a 5'6 135 lb. RB any day -- even if they were going to move the guy to slot, one direct hit and that guy would have been toast. "Anyone who had followed June Jones, who knew how he built his program and what he thought of SMU's program should have known this was really a silly waste of time. Can we now get on with hiring a Head Coach...?" -- Stallion, December 25, 2007 11:38 pm

How do we know he has speed? Did he run track or do we have any times? "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Commit #2
With all the negative pub TCU is getting I would be surprised if it is not a long time before they get another commitment. "We will play man to man and we will pick you up at the airport." - Larry Brown

Re: Commit #2
Their problem is not the negative publicity; rather, Patterson's drug testing policies.
