What a terrific finish by this SMU team. They've got a lot of heart and never quit. Four guys in double figures and everyone finished strong. How about Zhuric Phelps stepping up and knocking down those clutch FTs to close this one out. What an incredible improvement in his game vs last year. Guys held UAB to one and done once they started coming back from 12 down and rebounds ended up 35 for each team after UAB dominated early. Really proud of these guys for that effort tonight.

SMU with 19 assists on 28 made FGs vs only 7 turnovers. I will take those numbers every night. Could have been much better if our guys could have made shots in the 1st half
