STRIKE WHILE THE IRON IS HOT

Postby Bergermeister » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:19 pm

Obviously, SMU is heeding that line of thought... the big electronic billboard at Texas Stadium (site) advertises the Larry Brown SMU Mustangs - Get Your Season Tickets. Almost swerved off the road - hadn't seen an SMU Athletics billboard since "In Your Face Football". ugh. Get in line.
Expect the unexpected.

Same sign on the North Dallas Tollroad coming out of downtown. Impressive.

Yeah, they seem to have been on all the electronic billboards around the area since Monday. Very happy to see them.

Damn, I pass by that site every time I head to SMU. I'll have my eyes out for it. I'll be sure to spend money on the sports package next semester just to make sure I can get my tickets

They've been a loyal partner, no question.

But we really need an upgraded radio partner...as much as it pains me to say it, I would be great to have The Ticket carry both football and men's BB

Saw the electronic billboard at Central and Royal. Also saw one on I-30 in the area of the USPS center.
Has anyone seen my cocktail?

I do. It will take me 5 1/2 hours to get there and then someone will have to show me how to post a picture, but I am on my way.

More importantly, the GET YOUR SEASON TICKETS message is made more interesting by the fact that you can't buy them until August, according to someone at the Larry Brown Bonanza the other day. Nothing like riding the wave of emotion and excitement that LB's arrival should represent. Orsini probably let his crack marketing staff plan that strategy.

They dont want to make the regular season ticket holders pay-up earlier than normal.

I think if you want to be a new season ticket holder you reserve a spot (possibly w a small deposit) and will get your choice after season ticket holders based on pts and for remaining non-pt folks when you got on the list.

No big deal
