Every AAC team won it's opener except for UAB who lost in OT to Bradley 73-71. Lamar beat Jarvis Christian 114-66. UTSA beat Western Illinois 78-68. Texas A&M, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Virginia & Dayton all won their openers against soft opponents

Oklahoma State lost at home by 5 to Abilene Christian and James Madison beat Michigan State in East Lansing in OT by 3. College basketball is all about upsets, especially in the early part of the season

Monmouth beat West Virginia in Morgantown 73-65. Virginia beat Florida 73-70 and Wisconsin lost 80-70 at home vs # 9 Tennessee. Suddenly the field in the Ft Myers Tournament doesn't look as stout as I thought it might be

FAU and Memphis are clearly the class of the American this year. Just hope we can compete with them but there have been several good non-conference wins by AAC teams this year so I don't see this conference getting any easier than it was last year

UTSA-Memphis went into overtime tonight in Memphis. The Tigers prevailed, but it diminishes the close loss we had there.
