i don't understand how memphis is 1 spot behind us in the NET rankings considering their record is better in every single category. more quad 1 and 2 wins and a head to head W? Zero quad 3 or 4 losses. Makes no sense

It seems they are struggling to win Games with big Margin

2 wins looks like will Make the difference, win atleast 1 again between Memphis or FAU and win others as expected we will make the tourney,Now if we won the dayton ,memphis and asu games we would almost be lock

Interesting, thanks. Didn't realize margin played such a big role in NET. Conisdering all of our wins are by 12 or more I believe, that certainly helps

It is a strange formula, but like how it is to our advantage at the moment.

Last night, UNT beat ECU on the road by 1 point and actually dropped two places. We didn't play and moved up two places!

And all of our losses with the exception of the A&M game were close games, losing by 6 to Wisconsin, by 2 to Dayton & ASU and by 3 to Memphis on a last second shot

FAU has a net of 29 but is playing at UTSA net 289 today. Will be interesting to see how much that hurts them.

Saw this about FAU's season already. Life in the AAC.

FAU has completed an extraordinary achievement in college basketball. Hitting for the CBB cycle, if you will.

Quad 1 Win
Quad 2 Win
Quad 3 Win
Quad 4 Win
Home Win
Road Win
Neutral Court Win

Quad 1 Loss
Quad 2 Loss
Quad 3 Loss
Quad 4 Loss
Home Loss
Road Loss
Neutral Court Loss

From the games yesterday, we moved up a spot to 31 and UNT did move up to 75, which makes the game tomorrow a Quad 1 game. That is why it is important for UNT to keep winning. We need to win that game tomorrow and have it ultimately count as a Quad 1 win. We only have two other realistic chances for a quad 1 game (and win). I don't see anyone else climbing up high enough for us.

It will not be a Quad 1 win after tomorrow as UNT would drop in the rankings with a loss. However, if they continue to win after losing to us then eventually it could be a Quad 1 win.

Surprisingly the 2 road losses @ UNT and @ Wichita State only drops our NET ranking to # 38 and we are at # 43 in the kenpom, still the 2nd highest ranked team in the American

All these computer rankings put waaaayyy to much emphasis on point margin. A team that loses close games and blows out bad teams will almost always be ranked higher than a team that barely wins every game.

That wouldn't be a problem except the committee doesn't care about that stuff.
