Has it already been 10 years when SMU was in the NIT and came to NYC for the finals? SMU fans had a great turn out and the Garden was rocking. SMU haberdashery abound. It was a great time and, if you make it that far, the NIT can be a fun experience
I certainly would enjoy an NIT championship banner hanging from the rafters in Moody.

It really would have been nice if Larry Brown would have been able to secure the last (and least) leg of basketball's triple crown when he was at SMU. He already had both NBA and NCAA titles to his credit but as a New York guy it would have been icing on the cake for him to get that NIT title
