Tyreek Smith with huge block — then slams Wright's missed layup (10 points), giving SMU five players in double figures.

Things get REAL this week with games @ FAU and @ USF and we still have to finish @ UAB. Might have to win 2 of those 3 games to earn a top 4 seed. Currently T-3rd with FAU and UAB lurking with one fewer win but only 3 losses

Well that was fun! Bottle that play and we can win the next 5. We need a top 4 seed on the tournament, and that thing is going to be a real battle. Go Mustangs!!

When the walk-on sank a three at the end of the game, that was the loudest I’ve heard an SMU chant.
Way more fans than last weekend vs UNT. It felt like as much as A&M game with lots of fans in the rafter seats. Just checked and A&M game had just 81 more in attendance so lots more Pony fans today.

Drove up from Austin for the game. Was not disappointed.
I saw bad body language from Memphis from the opening tip-off. They looked full of dread.

Sweep Florida and it's basically a do-over.

Tough road trip week in Texas for Memphis losing to both UNT and SMU

Williamson and Phelps combined for 16-28 FGs. This team is really tough to beat when those 2 combine for better than 50% shooting. Both guys are all over the floor and contribute way beyond their shooting and they typically shoot a much lower percentage

Don't get a chance to see many games. One thing I noticed is that the offense was more like a LB offense. More inside and passing the ball instead of one or two passes and throw up a 3. With a more disciple offense and a great defense, this team can go places.

Admittedly I have not see a whole lot of USF and FAU this season, but after what I have seen over the past several games from the Ponies, I don't see how those two teams are better than us.
