Senior From Kapolei, Hawaii Honored

Dec. 11, 2005

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU senior forward Duke Hashimoto (Kapolei, Hawaii) has been selected to the 2005 NSCAA/adidas Men's Division I All-America second team, as announced by the organization over the weekend.

Hashimoto's selection marks the sixth Mustang to earn national honors out of the last seven years. Hashimoto closed out his senior season as the 2005 Conference USA Offensive Player of the Year and was a first-team All-Conference USA pick. His final 2005 season stats include a team-high 11 goals and seven assists off of 55 shots (32 on goal). He posted five game-winning goals during the course of the season.

Hashimoto was one of two Mustangs to be invited to the 2006 MLS Combine in January, 2006.

Very well deserved -- Duke was outstanding this year. To think that he had this season after ripping up his knee last year .... he's one tough Mustang. Congratulations.
