Just curious if DMN ever covered Rice and/or the CUSA in this sport in their paper. Online I read many Big 12 stories, but nothing about Rice. While Rice is not a Dallas team, neither is OU, OSU, Missouri or Nebraska!

Remember all those rants over the years about how the DMN prefers to cover teams -- even non-local teams -- with enormous DFW fan bases? Nothing has changed. It's a UT/A&M/OU paper. Hell, Rice barely got any ink in the DMN when it won the national championship a couple of years ago. They have a small Dallas alumni base, and they're not local. You'll see little to no info in the DMN.

They have nothing more than a two line blurb about them, along with the other regional teams in the tournament. At least they do have the full bracket each day and keep the scores updated. Now that UT is out, that may change though.
