DALLAS (SMU) - SMU senior forward Olivia O'Rear (Farmers Branch, Texas) is the recipient of two national honors for her four-goal effort this past weekend. She was named to this week's National Team of the Week for Soccer Buzz and Soccer America.
Named this week's Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, O'Rear scored four of SMU's five goals this past weekend (with two game winners), including a goal with less than three minutes remaining in Sunday's double OT game at Mississippi State. She now holds the team high in goals scored this season with four. Serving as Mustang team co-captain this season, O'Rear is currently fourth on SMU's all-time list in assists.
The Mustangs (5-2-1) face TCU (4-4-0) Thursday evening in Ft. Worth. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
