SMU's Adrian Chevannes earns C-USA Offensive Player of the Week honors

Second league honor this season for Fort Worth native

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU junior midfielder Adrian Chevannes (Ft. Worth, Texas) has been named this week's Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. It was Chevannes' second conference honor of the season - his first took place on Sept. 5.

Chevannes posted the game-winning goal and one assist in helping #1 SMU to a 4-0 victory over #13 Kentucky Saturday evening. He tops the squad in goals with five and shots on goal with 11. Chevannes is tied for the team lead with 13 points and is one of five players with two game-winning goals this season.

The top-ranked Mustangs (12-0-1, 2-0 C-USA) host league rival Tulsa (5-7-0, 3-1 C-USA) Wednesday evening at Westcott Field. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. and will be taped by CSTV for broadcast on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 3:00 p.m.
