Although swimming and diving are team sports in college, as are track & field, tennis, golf and equestrian, you have to like the nature of events where you, your teammates and fans can quickly understand your performance, contribution and, perhaps, how you have had to train to accomplish even a personal best.
I love FB, BB, soccer and volleyball, but a student athlete that often has to compete against themselves for the world to see is very appealing.
