Assistant Coach, College Men
Southern Methodist University
Assistant Coach 1 (Reference #675). Salary commensurate with experience. This assistant coach men's soccer reports directly to the head coach. DESCRIPTION: Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: coaching goalkeepers, as well as all aspects of teaching, coaching, evaluating, and working with student-athletes in the sport of soccer; completing day-to-day administrative tasks required by the NCAA and University; responsible for the recruitment of student-athletes that are consistent with the mission and goals set forth by both the head men's soccer coach and the university; assisting with camps and clinics; community service and public relations programs for the men's soccer program or department; and other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: A bachelor's degree is required. A minimum of two years coaching experience is required, preferably collegiate level soccer coaching experience or higher. Candidates must demonstrate strong oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills, Must also possess strong organizational skills. Knowledge of NCAA and Conference rules is essential.
