from the DMN:

The SMU men's soccer team is now No. 5 in the Soccer America rankings, up three spots from last week.

SMU notched a 2-0 victory over Stanford and a 1-1 tie against Cal last weekend in the Cal Legacy Classic in Berkeley, Calif.

Senior forward Paulo da Silva scored a goal in each match and was named the Conference USA offensive player of the week for his efforts.

The Mustangs (3-0-1) open their home schedule 7 p.m. Friday against George Mason as part of the Prego's Express Italian Invitational at Westcott Field.

And third in collegesoccernews.com.

Now what we need is for the teams that we beat to start winning because the most important ranking is going to be the RPI that should come out at mid season and right before conference tourneys.
