Mustangs Take 2 Of Top 3 In Hammer
Gill, Kuhner claim second, third in UTA meet

DALLAS (SMU) - The SMU women's track and field team took two of the top three places in the hammer in the first event of the UTA/Bobby Layne Invitational.

Ayla Gill finished second in the event with a throw of 54.80 meters, just edging out teammate Lauren Kuhner, who finished third with a throw of 54.35.

The hammer was the first event in the UTA meet, and was held at SMU; the rest will take place Saturday at UTA's Maverick Stadium in Arlington.
