It looks like we are in a power conference for baseball as three teams advanced to the super regional. Rice, Southern Miss and East Carolina all moved on to the next round.

Conference has as many teams remaining as the ACC does. But they have some tough matchups to get to the CWS. SEC has the most with 4.

Rice is at No. 3 national seed LSU
East Carolina is at No. 4 national seed North Carolina
Southern Miss is at No. 8 national seed Florida

Good luck to all three of them.

Sux for Rice. CUSA got the short end on the seeding this time partly because its such a strong baseball conference and ACC/SEC/WCC love. Hopefully, ECU will use its long standing inferiority complex in all things Carolina blue to whup the Heels. Rice has to beat LSU sooner or later, might as well be sooner - at least they didn't get UT. And So. Miss has the best draw of all getting Florida in the Super Regional, they have some weaknesses after you get past their starters.

Perhaps some day they'll be a time for us???

Outside of track or basketball, baseball could be the only real opportunity we'll ever have for a national championship. Football with the bcs-BS around will never ever provide us with that chance -EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TIME TO WAKE UP ADMINISTRATION & GRASP THE REALITY OF THE SITUATION!!!!!!

Only So. Miss advanced, but still three bids and three teams to Super Regionals is nothing to sneeze at. The Big XII is looking at a shut-out if UT doesn't win against the Frogs. The SEC only advanced one. The book is still out on the ACC, but two so far. This should help in future years for seeding.
