DALLAS (SMU) - Former SMU men's soccer player Colin Clark has been named to the U.S. Men's National Team for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which is slated to begin on July 3. Clark played at SMU from 2002-2004, and scored nine goals as a midfielder. Although Clark is looking to see his first game action for the National Team, he previously trained with the U.S. in November of 2008.

US beat Grenada 4-0, but I dont see Clarks name on the participation chart, so I guess he didnt get in.

Talk about a guy who has made the most of his chance to play professionally. I don't remember him being able to crack the starting rotation too often at SMU, and now he's making a living at the game and getting invited to a National Team game?
Keep it up!
