NBC CHANNEL 5 HONORS TENNIS COACH

Postby centexstang » Thu Jul 09, 2009 11:16 am

NBC Channel 5 has released their Top 25 Most Interesting People in DFW. Among those making the list this year is SMU tennis coach Lauren Longbotham-Meisner. NBC's part 4 release of this group and their stories has been published today and can be found @ nbcdfw.com/around_town. Add this to the good pub she continues to get on The Ticket.

"Little did he know that the young woman he took a chance on would turn out to produce the most winningest program during his reign so far, and the winningest women's tennis season in SMU's school history."

Although used all the time, "winningest" isn't a word. Even if it was, I doubt "most winningest" would get past many editors. And can a season be the "winningest" season? Isn't that (non-)word usually reserved to describe people?

Nice story, though, and she deserves the pub. Congrats, Coach.
