Another PK another loss

Postby gk00dad » Fri Sep 11, 2009 10:04 pm

Men's team drops this one on another pk. Not sure whether it was Vandegriff or Nelson, but a bad defensive mistake and take down in the box. This game could have been worse though. Lapse by Hill almost led to a chip shot and ther were some solid chances to be had by Brown if they would have pulled the trigger on a few open looks. It seems like we are spending too much time on the ball at times and playing into traffic instead of passing out of trouble. Not a lot of good looks on goal and not a lot of shots in the second half. Really need to get things cleaned up before conference play begins. Brown was not that good and I think we played down to their level.

This was a terrible game. No excuse for the inept and uninspired play and coaching.
Brown could have easily won this game by a much larger margin.
The PKs in the last few games can only be attributed to a complete lack of emphasis on discipline.
Failure to create any offensive challenges in the last half and a change of strategy to create scoring opportunities are not acceptable.
If this season doesn't start turning very quickly then there needs to be an active movement to correct the coaching situation.

GO PONIES!!!
