SMU vs. Colorado College
Colorado College beat SMU 4-1 this season in Colorado Springs (Sept. 25) and in their last meeting at Westcott Field (Sept. 26, 2008), with Lauren Shepherd scoring for the Mustangs in the 2-1 defeat. Overall, SMU is 7-10 against the Tigers, including a 4-1 loss in the 2006 C-USA Tournament at Westcott Field.

SMU in the C-USA Championship
SMU is 1-2-1 in the C-USA Championship. SMU lost 1-0 in the first round last season to East Carolina at Rice Track/Soccer Stadium. SMU went 1-1 in the 2006 tournament at Westcott Field, defeating Tulsa 1-0 before falling to Colorado College 4-1.

Spider Webb
Sophomore goalkeeper Courtney Webb was named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 2, after allowing just a single goal in the Mustangs' victory over Tulsa on 10/29. She posted a 0.76 goals against average during October (nine games), as the Mustangs have gone 5-3-1 in that span, and posted shutouts against Rice, UAB and Southern Miss. Webb has played every minute of every game so far for the Mustangs.

Scovill Scores
Kenzie Scovill has the team lead with six goals this season, scoring the game winners in SMU's wins against North Texas, UTSA and UAB. Scovill also scored against No. 16 California. Scovill is tied for the league lead among freshmen in goals, and goals in C-USA games (three).

Hartweck Finds The Back Of The Net
Shelby Hartweck tied for second in C-USA with three goals in league games. Hartweck registered a goal and an assist in SMU's 3-1 victory over Tulsa on 10/29, in what was a must-win game. She also scored two goals against East Carolina, helping the Mustangs to a 2-1 win on 10/11. The two goals gave Hartweck the first multi-goal game of her career, which was also the first multi-goal effort by an SMU player in 2009. Hartweck is now tied for second on the team in goals with four.

Transfer of Power
Leslie Briggs has quickly made an impact on SMU after transfering from North Carolina. The Carrollton native is second on the team in goals with four, and has registered two assists. Briggs was named to the 2009 Saint Mary's Invitational All-Tournament Team.
