Saintus becomes fourth SMU player on FC Dallas

PHILADELPHIA (SMU) - Former SMU midfielder Dane Saintus was selected 54th in the 2010 MLS SuperDraft by FC Dallas. Saintus was the team's fourth round selection.
Saintus rejoins former SMU coach Schellas Hyndman, and becomes the fourth SMU player on FC Dallas. Midfielder Daniel Hernandez, Midfielder Bruno Guarda, and Defender Ugo Ihemelu all attended SMU.
Saintus was named First Team All-C-USA in 2009 after registering eight goals and five assists on the season. He concludes his SMU career with 14 goals and 15 assists in 69 total games. On September 30, 2009, Saintus scored a hat trick against Centenary, the first for SMU since Duke Hashimoto performed the feat against Yale on September 24, 2004.
