Tough year for Swimming

Looks like only three men and two women qualified for the NCAA's this year.

Ouch. The trend line is not good and made more predictable by our lack of competitive training facilities for the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams. When we only had a Men's team, it was inadequate. Now, with two varisty teams, it fails on many dimensions (lack of long course indoors, only six lanes and locker rooms designed in the 40's) which hurts recruiting and limits competition, including limiting the divers who don't have a separate diving well.
