NCAAs: SMU hosts William & Mary — 7 PM Sunday

Postby PonyPride » Mon Nov 22, 2010 3:05 pm

The Mustangs got goals from Juan Castillo and Arthur Ivo to earn a 2-2 tie with Creighton in the second round of the NCAA Tournament and advanced by virtue of winning a penalty kick shootout, 5-3, and will host William & Mary at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 27.

Thanksgiving will be done, post-Turkey Day shopping binges (hopefully) will be in the rear-view mirror and before you get back to the weekly routine Monday, you have a chance to come support the fifth-seeded Mustangs. More details to come this week.

Get tickets by calling 214-SMU-GAME or log on to SMUMustangs.com.

A new poster called "Soccer15" (Ryan Rosenbaum? Taylor Robinson?) says Sunday night is a RED OUT. We're supposed to wear red.

By the way, get there early! Last night, most fans arrived at or right after the kickoff, so during the intros, it almost felt like a road game.

Be there early and be LOUD! We expect them to win for us, so let's do our part.

Go Ponies!

Definitely red. William and Mary is green, gold, silver and white for their school colors. If you see a pantsless creature on the sideline (other than Pony 94), that's "the Griffin" their mascot who is about as reviled by Tribe alums as Liberty and Justice are reviled by ours.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Yeah - last night during the introductions it looked like the Creighton fans were going to outnumber the SMU fans which would have been totally sad...

It turned out to be a great crowd! Hopefully the crowd this Sunday will be even better!

WOW....North Carolina has tied Michigan St with 9 seconds left. If MSU wins, SMU would be playing to host in the Quarterfinal. DAMN! C'mon MSU!

[deleted] UNC wins in PKs over MSU. So tonight will definitely be the last home game of the season. GO PONIES!

Also, based on the play-by-play I was following of the UNC-MSU game, the OTs were only 10 minutes each. uhhhhh.... ???
