Ivo Named To College Soccer News National Team Of The Week

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU men's soccer play Arthur Ivo was named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. The junior midfielder helped fifth seed SMU force overtime against Creighton and advance to the Round of 16 on penalty kicks Sunday night at Westcott Field.

Down 2-1, Ivo tied the game when he netted his ninth goal of the season with just 15 seconds remaining in regulation to keep the season alive for SMU (15-2-1). Ivo fired a bullet from 30 yards out that was deflected by a Creighton defender up and over Bluejay goalie Brian Holt. Ivo then converted SMU's fifth penalty kick opportunity to advance the Mustangs 5-3 on PKs.
