DALLAS (SMU) - SMU men's swimmer Tom Cole earned Counsilman-Hunsaker National Collegiate Swimmer-of-the-Week Honors from CollegeSwimming.com for his performance at the SMU Classic over the weekend.
Cole swept the breaststroke events in the 27th Annual Classic at SMU, beating out swimmers from Top-25 schools Florida, Southern Cal, North Carolina, Michigan and Purdue. The senior captain won the 100-meter breaststroke in a time of 54.60 and followed up the performance by winning the 200-meter breaststroke in 1:57.70.
SMU heads to Austin to take on Texas and Arizona Jan. 28 and 29.
