AMBER EVANS: Running after records

Junior sprinter Amber Evans holds the all-time SMU records in the 60-meter dash and the 100-meter dash — an accomplishment made more remarkable by the fact that she doesn't consider the events to be her best. Now she has her sights set on the school marks in the events she feels she is best-suited to run: the 200 and the 400. Evans visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how training for the short sprints will help her improve in the longer runs, and how much she still can improve.

Enjoy!

Amber Evans set a new SMU record Saturday — breaking a mark she held — when she finished the 100 in 11.62 at North Texas.

Looks like she broke the school record in the 400 at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships.
Congratulations!

Great job, Amber. Wish we still had a men's team as well, but at least the girls are kicking [deleted]!
