In each of the last two seasons, the SMU women's tennis team has reached the second round of the NCAA Championship. This year, thanks to victories over two higher-ranked opponents, Texas A&M and Florida State, the Mustangs are moving on to the Sweet 16, where they will take on Baylor. SMU head coach Lauren Longbotham Meisner visited with PonyFans.com to discuss the growth of her program and the keys to upsetting the No. 7 Bears Friday in Palo Alto, Calif.

Enjoy!

"As always" is right. Once again, you're way out in front of everyone who claims to cover SMU.

Kick some Baylor High butt!

Fantastic read - it's always awesome to get this insight into the non-revenue sports.

Best wishes in the tournament, Mustangs!

Even though the loss to Baylor stopped a great run, they won again and are now in the semi-finals. Baylor's wins should help our final ranking. Great job ladies.

Thanks for a great year team. The publicity we got from the Ticket and the texas tennis community by word of mouth has been amazing. The respect from fans of other schools and even the umpires associations that call in rival cities has helped spread the name of SMU.
