Oh no! My two alma maters meet on the field of play. Tribe vs. Mustangs! Luckily the rule is to root for your undergrad alma mater. Here's to a great contest.

Facing a team we played in the NCAA tournament last year is a hell of a rough way to start out the regular season.
Go Mustangs!

No [deleted]. At least it is at home!

The three straight road conference games will be huge.

It looks like a very legit schedule to me. Looking forward to seeing them play.

Good point - if I remember correctly people were upset with last year's schedule...

This team is set up for a big run this season and this schedule will only make it more impressive. If we get off to a good start this year could be really special.

Obviously, losing Cruz, Soto, and Osorio will be a huge void to fill, but there is a ton of young talent that can certainly step up to fill those minutes. The freshmen were all playing so well towards the end of last season and this year's class looks like it might be even better.

The big question in my mind is replacing Craig Hill, because you never really know what you are going to get in goal until they go out there and do it.

The is the nation of good keepers and SMU has usually had good ones, at least I think they have. Hopefully this trend will continue. Now the women's keeper, little-miss-walkabout. That's a different deal!

Oh dear - I had forgotten about that (or blocked it from my mind).

While it's hard to find any fault in Courtney Webb's 1.00 goals against per game average, the 8 clean sheets, and the legendary two saves in penalties in the conference tournament against Rice last season (not to mention her successful penalty conversion!), looking up and seeing her 30-35 yards out late in games when we are up one goal is somewhat maddening.

It almost cost us a game last year, and I have to assume it is coaching considering Webb is academic all-conference in civil engineering...
