don't know why SMU seems to be the last one to reveal their schedule. anyway looks like SMU at Texas.

also appears SMU will host Alabama/TCU/Lamar tournament in Dallas.

Playing UT is big, they are always in the hunt for the national title.

Looks like the season starts with a tournament in Norman with OU, Oral Roberts, and Missouri State on August 26/27.

Wow - September 9-10 is a tournament at Long Beach State also featuring Oregon State and Utah State.

That's 5 non-conference tournament teams from last season (Texas, Oklahoma, Long Beach State, Utah State, UTSA) that we know of already - not to mention Santa Clara who had a 10-year tournament run from 1998-2008.

It will be interesting how the final schedule shapes up. It looks like some of the other CUSA teams have started releasing theirs (Rice, Houston, East Carolina, Memphis) so I imagine ours will be out soon.

I commend Coach Seifert for loading up the schedule. Obviously, going 25-6 last season (17-3 in conference) wasn't enough to get us into the tournament even with an RPI of 47, so playing tougher competition is the next step to gaining national credibility.

I think it's great to see one of the up-and-coming programs on The Hilltop step up and really try to get to the next level - hopefully it will all work out and we will make the tournament this season. I think making a run at winning the conference and making the NCAA tournament are both reasonable goals for this year.
