The SMU men's soccer team enjoyed a stellar 2010 season, winning 16 of 20 games and advancing all the way to the round of eight in the NCAA Tournament. The Mustangs lost some key players to graduation, but return a talented squad with even loftier aspirations. Head coach Tim McClements visited with PonyFans.com to discuss how his team has responded to its 2010 success, who he sees filling key leadership roles and how high the Ponies have set their sights for the 2011 season.

Enjoy!

Terrific story about a terrific team.

Thanks for covering soccer when nobody else does.

Whoever ends up playing in goal is going to be critical. Craig Hill never got the pub that some of his teammates do, because goal-scorers always get the attention, like home run hitters in baseball, but he was consistently solid in the net for his entire career, and will be missed. His replacement has a big void to fill.
