Men's Soccer ranking this week

Wow - the SMU men are ranked all the way down at No. 7 in the Midwest regional rankings this week (the first regional rankings of the season)

I didn't think we would drop that far in the national rankings after a one goal loss to another ranked team but it will be interesting to see where we end up when they come out later this morning. I was thinking around 12, but it will obviously be lower if we are already this low just in the region.

Regionally we are now behind Creighton, Kentucky, SIU-Edwardsville, UAB, Drake, and Bradley.

We need to show up and show these bozos how good we are this weekend at the Duke tournament!

That poll shows the value (or the absence of value) of rankings this early in the season. We're better than all of the teams on that list.

More importantly, we're ranked 17th in the country ... which also is lower than it should be. We lost by a single goal against a nationally ranked team on a fluke game-winning goal. I could see slipping to 8 or 10, but 17? No way.
