Women's Soccer - Courtney Webb and Penalty Kicks

After saving the penalty today against Loyola Marymount, Courtney Webb has now faced 7 regular season penalties and saved 3 of them in her SMU career.

Including postseason shootouts she has faced 11 and saved 5.

In just the past two seasons (including postseason), Webb has saved 5 of 8.

Also, for good measure, she is 1 for 1 taking penalties with her conversion last season against Rice in the CUSA tournament.

Pretty amazing!

It might even be better than that. There is one penalty against SMU unaccounted for in the 2008 archives that was saved by SMU, but Webb split time that season so it is impossible to tell if Webb had the stop.
