I really hope we win this game. My friend is a big South Carolina fan so it would be nice to beat him.

Gamecocks have had two really good chances after very uninspired goal kicks by SMU. That kind of stuff needs to stop now.

Game pretty even so far. SC up 4-3 in shots. Shots on goal are 1-1. SC up 2-1 on corners. SMU has had more fouls (4-2).

South Carolina ties it up at 1-1 at the 23:33 mark. No idea what happened - the video is choppy and is freezing pretty often so far.

Oh well. Come on, Mustangs!

Under 15 minutes left. SC with a bit more of the run of play...

Gamecocks with a 16-10 advantage in shots and a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal.

Still 1-1.

Wow - Gamecocks get a clear header off a corner but thankfully it goes just wide with around 10 minutes left.

Well what do you know. SMU leaves someone unmarked right in front of goal six yards out and now it is 2-1. It was certainly coming...

6:10 left.

OMG they just gave us a penalty with 1:10 left and Ivo buries it!

2-2!!!!!!!

(SMU was putting on a nice flurry on their end and it did look like a legitimate penalty - it looked like Nelson drew it)

Heading to OT...

SC certainly was the better team in the second half. SMU didn't really play that poorly, but the field really was tilted in their favor for most of the second part of the half...

Regulation stats:

Shots: SC 20, SMU 11
Shots on goal: SC 9, SMU 4
Corners: SC 8, SMU 6
Fouls: SC 11, SMU 12
Yellow Cards: SC 1, SMU 0

Ibarra had some huge saves in the second half. He had no chance on their second goal.

The have the audio back for OT - the announcers just said Hickey drew the foul that gave SMU the PK.

Two matches in a row with the visiting announcers commenting on how far Ibarra can kick the ball. :D
