The first men's soccer RPI is out and SMU is a whopping number 11!

I was hoping we would make a nice dent in the RPI with our non-conference schedule, but this is amazing.

Congratulations to the team and let's keep it going through the rest of the conference season.

FYI - the teams ahead of us are:

Connecticut

We are also still ranked No. 2 this week in the NSCAA Midwest Region. The national poll comes out at noon.

Considering Louisville is playing South Florida on ESPNU right now I would guess yes.

C-USA will be fine, soccer-wise. If the SMU-to-Big East plan goes through, C-USA still will have some soccer heavyweights in Tulsa (having an off-year, but always good), Kentucky and South Carolina (affiliate members for soccer) and UAB, and teams like Marshall and FIU aren't bad at all. There are no cupcake teams in C-USA.

Meant to clarify and say, they are losing two teams, do they have to make additions?

Interesting question. The women would be losing three teams as well.

I imagine there would be some additional shuffling - as well as some in volleyball and some of the other sports...
