WSJ: In College Soccer, Little Schools Rule

"Small schools act like big fish in soccer, winning titles, throwing around money and slapping around bigger-name schools on the pitch. More than half of the teams in this season's final top-25 poll were "mid-majors"—schools that are not members of the six major conferences."

Too bad we aren't still in the tournament so we could get a mention!

In all fairness though, they do fail to mention a lot of "big" schools do not have men's soccer programs.

SEC and Big12 don't have men's soccer. We should be the dominate program in the south/southwest by default

chalk it up to title IX; many of the big schools play only women's soccer

I love to play soccer in my college and trying to come in this NCAA tournament. There are many college soccer teams are participating in this tournament, this is good for the participators.
