Rangelova Sets Another Bulgarian National Record
Placed seventh in 200m freestyle at European Short Course Championships

SZCZECIN, Poland (SMU) - Sophomore swimmer Nina Rangelova set another Bulgarian national record, this time in the 200-meter freestyle, at the European Short Course Championships this past weekend. Rangelova finished seventh in the event, touching the wall in a record-setting 1:56.11. The freestyle specialist placed 14th in the 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:06.60.

Mustang alums Anja Carman and Petra Klosova also competed in the championships. Carman came in fifth in the 200-meter backstroke, clocking in at 2:05.53. Klosova placed 18th in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 25.24.

Last weekend, Rangelova set national marks in the 100-meter freestyle (55.54) and 400-meter freestyle (4:12.21) at the 2011 AT&T Swimming Winter National Championships.
