Men's Swimming & Diving NCAAs

Looks like only one swimmer in one event qualified. No relays. Ouch!
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

It is sad. Our tradition of success has slowly evaporated; not to mention our continuing problem of an out-dated facility, which I swam in 45 years ago and it was old at the time.

The lone Mustang swimmer (Mindaugas Sadauskas) will compete in prelims Saturday morning. He's seeded seventh in the 100 free going into the prelims tomorrow.

Also, the diver competing (Devin Burnett) didn't qualify for the finals in the 1-meter board yesterday (Drew Livingston was outstanding for Texas), but is competing in the prelims for 3-meter this morning and platform tomorrow. Hopefully Devin will make the finals in one or both.

I'll be at the finals tonight and both the prelims and finals tomorrow. Go Mu Sigma Delta. :)

Diver Devin Burnett did not compete in the 3-meter finals last night. Mindaugas Sadauskas will race in the ninth heat of the 100 free prelim this morning; it's the second event on the schedule today. Burnett will be the 10th of 35 divers on platform, which is the last prelim of the day.

Will update once the competition starts.

Tough day at the ranch for the Mustangs. Sadauskas finished out of the finals, then Burnett finished 20th on the platform, also outside of the finals. Seen some great swimming and diving at this meet. Wish the Mustangs could have made it happen. Next year, I guess.
