VERACRUZ, Mexico (SMU) - Three Mustang swimmers improved their chances for a shot at Olympic gold after recording Olympic qualifying times at Copa de Mexico over the weekend.

Colombian Isabella Arcila won the 100- and 200-meter backstrokes, touching the wall in 1:01.90 and 2:14.57, respectively. Both marks were Olympic qualifying times.

Lithuanian Raminta Dvariskyte had a pair of Olympic qualifying performances in the 100- and 200-meter breaststrokes. Dvariskyte placed first in the 200-meter event with a time of 2:31.43 and was second in the 100-meter with a mark of 1:11.63.

Bulgarian Nina Rangelova took gold in the 400-meter freestyle, clocking in with an Olympic-qualifying time of 4:17.49. She also earned runner-up honors in the 50-meter freestyle (26.45) and 100-meter freestyle (56.73).

The 2012 Olympic Games will be held in London July 27 - August 12. In July, FINA will determine Olympic time cuts and swimmers will be named to their respective Olympic teams.
