Hooper, Villamil Named NGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. (SMU) - SMU women's golfers Jennifer Hooper and Maria Elena Villamil have been named to the National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team.
Hooper graduated in May with a degree in business marketing. She carded a season-best 224 at the Johnie Imes Invitational, shooting a season-best round of 70 on the second day of competition.
Villamil, a junior from Madrid, is pursuing a degree in computer science. Villamil carded a season-low 224 at the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate, and posted season-low rounds of 72 at the Price's Give Em Five and Mountain View Intercollegiate. She also finished fourth at the Chip-N Club Invitational.
