That's great news! How good is the professional soccer in Sweden?

I certainly won't claim to be an expert, but the team she is going to is in the second division (third level on the pyramid) in Sweden. Germany and Sweden probably have the best women's leagues in the world right now (with France and maybe England next). A bunch of the WPS players ended up in the top level in Sweden this year.

Side note - it's disgusting the US doesn't have the best women's league in the world but that is another story...

The soccer will certainly be at a higher level - and more supported and organized - than the top amateur teams of the WPSL here in the US.

Either way though, what a great opportunity for a wonderful experience. It's certainly the first time an SMU women's player has made any sort of impact in long, long time!
