From about 40 yards with 2 seconds left catches the TCU keeper off her line! Absolutely beautiful shot! Stunning.

FINAL SMU 2 TCU 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice result. Sounds like a crazy ending. Great job girls. Thanks for the reports.

Highlights:

http://gofrogs.cstv.com/allaccess/?media=333426

1. Scovill's goal was ridiculous - she was moving away from the goal when she got her head to it. Awesome.
2. It was a legit penalty. Bartol definitely grabbed her leg and tripped her and it was definitely in the box.
3. That being said - Bodden just about had the save!
4. Redman's goal was just awesome. On the volley and just under the bar. Amazing.
5. Nice to see the team going with "Wear Red Friday"! :)

Excellent result. Scovill is playing loose and the whole offense has been invigorated and empowered. I honestly think that we will look back on that little video session as being the start of a great season. The girls needed to know what would happen when they screw up - that the coach would not become an unhinged banshee but would settle down and get to the business of improving. They see this coach as part of the whole, not a Him vs. Us thing that has been pervasive these past years. The players are smiling more and their body language is completely different.
Don't confuse me with the facts; I've made up my mind.

Thanks for posting that. Nice to see highlights.

How many goals on headers is that for Scovill this year? Are they all on passes from Smith?
Bartol should not have gotten called for that. The Frog deserved to be tripped for going toward our goal ... or maybe just for attending TCU.
How does a goalie let in a last second goal like that? It was hard to tell -- goalie brain cramp or brilliant shot or lucky or all 3?

Good point. Three of Scovill's four goals have been on headers - and all three are from Smith. The other one was the unassisted goal when she intercepted the back pass against Arkansas.

As far as the last goal, I would say all three. It looked like their keeper just froze. I'll take it though!
