The Tigers are 7-2-3 and 2-1-0 in C-USA. They are coming off a 1-0 win over Tulsa Friday night.

After the big win over UTEP Friday night, SMU is 5-5-1 and 1-1-1 in C-USA.

Some thoughts on this one after letting the emotions settle down...

Colorado College is obviously a good team. They were picked to finish 3rd in the conference and have had a good RPI all year. This was the last chance for SMU to put up a big RPI win this season (other than UCF and Memphis of course) so the draw is kind of a let down in the big picture. As far as C-USA goes, it certainly is kind of disappointing to drop points at home but a draw against CC at least keeps us in the running to catch them for at least the 3 seed in the tournament.

As for the actual game, SMU looked really good in the first half. The Mustangs looked crisp and active and were able to take a 2-0 lead to the locker room.

The second half was pretty even for the first 15 minutes, but then SMU had a bit of a bad stretch and unfortunately CC got two goals in less than two minutes during that period. In all honesty, you could kind of see it coming.

SMU was in control during both OTs - CC didn't even register a shot.

Now for the controversy - SMU scored a goal late in the 2nd OT, but it was ruled offside. Lissi Lonsberry tapped in a rebound after a Mallory Baum shot, and honestly, Baum's shot was from far enough out I find if very hard to believe any SMU player could have possibly been even close to offside. There were probably three totally blown offside calls on the day against SMU so there is no reason to believe this one was right.
