Cieplucha & Malyarchikova Advance At Riviera/ITA All-American Championships
Mustang Duo Wins First Three Matches To Reach Qualifying Round

LOS ANGELES (SMU) --- The SMU Women's Tennis doubles team of Edyta Cieplucha and Aleksandra Malyarchikova won three pre-qualifying matches to advance to the qualifying round of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships. The qualifying draw begins Tuesday at the Riviera Tennis Cub in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

SMU's top duo improved to 7-0 on the season by winning their three All-American matches by a combined game score of 24-7. On Saturday, they won 8-3 over Franziska Goettsching and Kristina Smith of UC Irvine. On Sunday, Cieplucha and Malyarchikova won both matches by an 8-2 advantage. First was against Kelly Lamble and Maggie McGeorge of Santa Clara followed by a victory over the No. 5 seeded pair of Elisha Gabb and Cierra Gaytan-Leach of Missouri.
