Mariano's invented the FROZEN margarita. The original machine (an old Slurpee machine) that was used to mix up the drinks at the Old Town Shopping Center location is now part of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D.C. It was on display in the Hall of State at the 2011 State Fair of Texas.giacfsp wrote:Didn't Mariano's actually claim to have invented the margarita?
Seems far-fetced to me, but I thought I remember that claim.
Thinking of trying Elevation Burger tonight.

This baby is made with Kobe beef, cheddar cheese, fried onion ring, slice of bacon, lettuce and tomato, all finished off with a layer of chopped prime rib. Dang it was good. Just tried it over the weekend. The owner used to own a steakhouse. That is how a great hamburger ended up at a great Sushi place.
