Mexican food wars

Do we have a thread on this yet? I'm always looking for out of the way places I wouldn't try without a recommendation.

Not Mexican but the new Korean taco place - goghee - is worth trying.
Best brisket taco - Mia's
Best crunchy taco - mi Cocina
Beat goat taco - chupacabras on fitzhugh
Best picadillo taco - fuel city
Best fish taco - lobster taco from Fearings
Best carne asada taco - chupacabras
Best breakfast taco - taco joint with a partial nod to the ticket references
Best cheese taco - Javiers but I forget what they call it

If any of you are ever down on the island, my favorite is The Original. They have the best top shelf margaritas and I tend to judge a Mexican restaurant on how good their margaritas are!!!

I don't think it's SPI. 95% of the restaurants there suck, and I definitely wouldnt recommend any of the Mexican food places. In fact, I always looked forward to getting out of the valley to eat Mexican food.

No way. First & 10 should stick to Point Burgers — play to your strengths.

Rusty Taco was surprisingly good — their steak tacos are amazing, and their breakfast tacos are top-notch, too.

The other place that absolutely shocked me: Fuzzy's. Based on the name, I thought it would be weak, but they have several good (very cold) beers on tap and not expensive (Modelo Especial and Negro Modelo, for starters). Their chips and white queso is off the charts, and their nachos are outstanding. I always thought it would be horrible, but now I'm there weekly ... at least.
