hurts my feelings. But I understand.

Chicken chimichanga is a gift to humanity. 2 meltdowns and you'll forget which hand is right and which is left. Just

I haven't been to Ojeda's in 7-8 years. The Ojeda family was a client of one of my friends. When we went there it was always just before closing and we entered through the back entrance. They closed the restaurant and then would feed us. Maybe our food was a little different or special- IDNK.
Do remember their margaritas were 'muy bueno'. :)

I actually remember the days when Poncho's was in Hillside Village. 4 tacos for a $1. Woohoo!

I like it, but I don't think it's the most overrated place ever. To me, that's MiCo or Matt's.

i still contend that Matt's has some of the best cheese and onion enchiladas in the area.

I'll be utterly unpopular here and put in a vote for Mariano's. I'm sure it's subpar or something, but I loved that place when I was in Dallas. Fabulous fresh chips, good salsa, great margaritas and very decent food.

Also, if I could somehow get Gloria's black bean dip here in Seattle, I would cry. That stuff has crack in it.

I couldn't agree more with you. When you arrange that, ship some to Austin.
One of the many things about this town that absolutely sucks (beyond the color of all things UT) is the ridiculous overhype on the food around town.

I love Mariano's. Crunchy beef tacos are my favorite there.

Is Jorge's (and their famous/infamous Everclear margaritas) still around?

Can you buy that bean dip in Dallas? If so, where? I've not heard of it before. TIA
